B-CU Ground Game To Much in 58-30 Win in 1st Annual Biker Classic

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Isidore Jackson ran for a career high 150 yards on 19 carries and three rushing touchdowns, as Bethune-Cookman beat Fort Valley State 58-30 in the inaugural Biker Classic before 4,921 at Municipal Stadium Saturday afternoon.

David Blackwell, a Sophomore from Ft. Lauderdale, finished with 314 yards of total offense. Blackwell completed 8-14 pass attempts for 222 yards and 10 rushes for 92 yards.

The B-CU Wildcats (3-3), who snapped a two-game losing streak, finished with 648 yards of total offense, including 418 on the ground. Fort Valley State netted 422 yards -- 321 of that through the air.

Fort Valley State (1-6), a team from Division II, extended its losing streak to two games.

The bright spot for Fort Valley State was wide-receiver Christopher Slaughter who seemed unstoppable. Slaughter finished with 8 catches for 201 yards and 1 touchdown.

B-CU Wildcats play MEAC leading Norfolk State Spartans (6-1) on Thursday. The game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
