HBCU Information Network

Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL − The HBCU Information Network (HBCUIn) and Groupon (http://www.groupon.com) have teamed up to provide backpacks, reading material and school supplies to underprivileged school kids in Atlanta, Georgia. HBCUIn will raise funds through a promotional campaign that will take place on Groupon's Atlanta G-Team page beginning on Tuesday, May 31 through Thursday, June 2. Anyone interested in supporting the campaign can visit groupon.com/Atlanta.

This school supply drive is a part of HBCUIn's Youth Initiative program, one of its seven key programs, which promotes literacy and provide students with school supplies. During this drive, the organization will raise funds to purchase backpacks with notebooks, pens and pencils, binders and folders as well as calculators, compasses and protractors for older students. The overall goal of the campaign is to provide 500 students with a fully stocked backpack to last them throughout the entire academic year.

"We are looking forward to equipping students in the Atlanta Public school systems with tools to succeed in the classroom." says Grover C. Fields, President and Founder of HBCUIn "We can't achieve our goal without the support of the community, so I encourage you to take advantage of this Groupon deal to help us achieve and possibly exceed our goal for this campaign."
